Testing for Donor Centers
Extended antigen typing many donors by serology is labor intensive. As a result, only a small number of donors are typed for a few antigens, and antigen-negative and rare donor inventories are limited.
NCBGG testing provides detailed genotypic and phenotypic patient profiles which allows donor centers to overcome many of today’s limitations by:
- Simplifying the identification of multiple antigen-negative units
- Enables routine characterization of donor units for the most relevant antigens
- Provide antigen-negative donor units to hospital customers
